Blisworth is a village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire. It is located about 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Northampton, 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Towcester and 10 miles (16 km) north of Milton Keynes. The M1 motorway junction 15 is about 2 miles (3.2 km) north east.
Blisworth is a thriving, picturesque village with a population of around 1,800 people. It has a number of amenities, including a primary school, a village shop with news agency and post office, two local pubs, a village hall, and a number of small businesses.
The village is also home to the Blisworth Canal Tunnel, which is the longest tunnel on the Grand Union Canal. The tunnel is 3,082 yards long and was completed in 1805. It is a popular tourist attraction, and boat trips through the tunnel can be taken from Stoke Bruerne, which is located just to the north of Blisworth.
