Castle Ashby is a historic village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire
The village is surrounded by the Castle Ashby Estate, which is home to Castle Ashby House, a beautiful Elizabethan mansion.
The village's name means 'Ash-tree farm/settlement'. Originally, there was a castle located there, later replaced by the House.
The village was originally set up to service the needs of Castle Ashby House, and many of the houses in the village are centuries old. The village also has a small pub-hotel, The Falcon, which dates back to 1594.
One of the main attractions in Castle Ashby is the Castle Ashby Gardens.
